As an "advanced user," I recommend the FLAC download, but you need a torrent downloader (utorrent is the best) to get it.

I downloaded the fully-tagged set of MP3s--and, being the audio nerd that I am, the 1.2gb better-than-CD-quality wave files--in the wee hours of the morning on the 5th, just after it was posted.

If this album was a rush job, as some have feared, then his rush jobs are just as worth paying for as anything else Trent Reznor has done.

Nevermind the pace at which Trent is pumping out new material...if you hear what he's had to say in interviews lately, it's clear that he's as excited as a kid with a million-dollar shopping spree at Toys-R-Us. The man who once feared going into the studio to make new material now cannot wait to create more all the time.

Beyond that, he knows he has the resources to do things his way, and he's more than satisfied with the income he'll make as he sets sail on his summer tour. Not only is this free album a gift, but he's showing his peers how to roll...as evidenced by all of the bands giving away their new singles for free (Coldplay, The Offspring, etc.) Take that, iTunes.

God bless Trent Reznor.

(Oh, and God bless Hot Fudge Sundae Pop-Tarts. You people REALLY have to try those, even if you thought it couldn't get any better than the S'Mores ones.)
